Set across a substantial sloping site in Norton Summit, this residence was positioned with precision following on-site consultation and drone analysis. By carefully studying contours, solar orientation and outlook, the optimal building envelope was established to maximise long-range hillside views while maintaining practical access and structural efficiency.

The primary living zone — kitchen, dining and lounge — extends to a generous balcony that captures sunlight and uninterrupted valley vistas. The design allows the landscape to remain the focal point, with glazing and proportion carefully calibrated rather than overstated.

Externally, natural stone detailing anchors the façade to its surrounds, ensuring the home sits comfortably within the hillside context. The master ensuite continues the connection to landscape, featuring a concrete soaking bath oriented toward the views. The steep gradient presented construction challenges, ultimately resolved through disciplined engineering and considered planning.
